an ATI card and was using the fglrx driver, which seems to be discontinued or something in Ubuntu 9.04.... ic setup.
After going a bit back and forward, it seemed I was going to be stuck with clone mode setup ... dr util.
Checking through my xorg.log file, I did see that the driver did in fact detect my 2 monitors,... 59.9
